One of the two frontmen for Leeds based Hot Liquor Tank, Sam set off his solo career when 2023's - "Stick To The Script", was released. The record spoke on Sam's experiences touring with Nigel Passey, adopting an observational writing style. "I went back to the studio with Nigel and recorded the songs in two or three takes, then picked the ones we felt worked best" - Sam Hutchinson
Once the record was out Sam went on to book a UK tour, playing various shows performing and talking on the songs and how they came about. The tour gained critical acclaim resulting in Sam booking another 5 shows, more local and a lot more intimate/stripped back. After the tour Sam focused on writing and producing music alongside Nigel, though hinted at a new solo record in the works.
